My sister-in-law, Tanuya — many of you know her as Danette or Netta — is truly one of the best human beings I have ever known. She is one of the closest people in my life: the sweetest, most loyal, and most selfless person you could ever meet. She has always been the one showing up for everyone else with strength, grace, and love.
A few years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She faced chemotherapy and a mastectomy with incredible courage and determination, and she beat it. Unfortunately, her cancer has returned and has now metastasized. She has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer that has spread rapidly to her lungs, liver, bones, and ovaries.
Next week, she will begin a new chemotherapy treatment. She will remain on chemotherapy for the rest of her life.
Netta worked so hard to build her dream — owning her antique store. It has been her passion and her joy. Because of her illness, she will no longer be able to work the way she once did. She will need to hire help to keep the store running, which adds financial strain during an already overwhelming time.
We are asking for your support to help keep her business afloat and allow her to focus on her health and on enjoying the time she has with the people she loves. Every donation, share, and prayer means more than you know.
Thank you for loving her with us and for helping us surround her with the same care she has always given so freely to others
