Standing with Natalie and Atlas Through Recovery

Donation protected
On Sunday, November 30th, 2025, after the first big snow of the season, Natalie was sledding with her son, Atlas, and was involved in a major accident. Initially, having no feeling in her legs or feet, everyone on the scene feared the worst. Thankfully, she has regained control of her extremities; however, her injuries are still significant. To make matters worse, Atlas witnessed the accident and aftermath of his mother in excruciating pain and needed to be the one to ride in the ambulance to the hospital with her.

She has suffered fractures in her T12 and L1 vertebrae, disc bulge at T7-T8, a disc extrusion at T8-T9, and mild bilateral neural foraminal stenosis from T9-T-11. Due to those injuries and the narrowing around the spinal canal, she is experiencing severe & constant nerve pain. Her daily quality of life has declined as she is not able to do many movements by herself and needs constant physical support 24 hours a day while trying to maintain a schedule for Atlas that includes school and regular activities.

She is looking at the next 6-12 weeks minimally being in a back brace and has an appointment at the end of this week with a Neurologist to see how healing is going and if surgery is needed. Obviously, that appointment could add months to her recovery, but Natalie is taking things day by day and not getting discouraged by the unknown.

With so many things up in the air right now, one thing that doesn’t change is that Natalie is a dedicated mother to her incredible son, Atlas, and this injury, the weeks of expected time off from work, the mounting medical bills, & the holiday season are all added stress and weight on her shoulders. We have created this GoFundMe to provide a reputable way for everyone who would like to help support her throughout the time needed to heal. All funds raised will go directly into her bills, childcare, medical care, and household expenses, as Natalie is the sole income earner as a single mother.

Natalie is someone who never asks for help but is always willing to be one of the first to provide it. Anything that can be donated will provide some much-needed mental and financial relief as she navigates this situation. Thank you for any support you can give. Updates from Natalie will come in as she learns more about what the future looks like.
