Help Nakia Stay Afloat During Medical Recovery

Hi everyone,

My name is Nakia, and this is incredibly hard for me to write—but I’ve been encouraged by neighbors and loved ones to reach out for help while I recover.

I was unexpectedly hospitalized and required emergency spinal surgery. I have now been in the hospital for an extended period and am facing a recovery that will prevent me from working for some time.

Prior to this hospitalization, I was actively seeking employment and supporting my family through unemployment benefits. Unfortunately, due to my current medical condition and hospitalization, those benefits are now on hold, and I have no income while I heal.

I am doing everything I can to stay strong, but the financial stress of medical recovery, housing costs, and daily living expenses has become overwhelming.
