My sister is one of the strongest people I know. She has always been the one who shows up for others and for me with love, resilience, and a quiet determination—even when life hasn’t been easy. Today, she continues to face of her hardest battles yet: cardiac sarcoidosis.

Sarcoidosis is a chronic and unpredictable inflammatory disease that can affect multiple organs in the body. For my sister, it affects her heart. She has to have complex treatments, combined with physical exhaustion, and uncertainty about what each day will bring. Managing this condition requires specialized care, medications, frequent monitoring, and, at times, extended recovery periods that make it difficult to work and maintain daily responsibilities. The past treatments have not worked as we would have hoped for, so she is beginning a new treatment as she has entered heart failure.

While she continues to fight with courage and grace, the financial burden of her daily expenses has become overwhelming. Disability, as you may surmise, is still pending. This fundraiser is meant to help ease that burden so she can focus on what truly matters: healing, rest, and regaining strength.
