My daughter has been in the hospital for a week today. She's been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which is a disease that attacks her nerves and is intensely painful for her. She can barely walk and is having to lean on me and a walker just for the few steps it takes her to get to the bathroom. She can't seem to get any relief from the pain and is miserable.

This is very, very hard for me as her mother to watch her go through this; it hurts my heart so much that I can't make the pain go away for her. I've been missing work and helping her with expenses while in the hospital.
