On May 3rd, our mom was admitted into the hospital where she spent a week battling sepsis along with other health flares. She was discharged and sent home on Friday, May 8th. She was home for Mother’s Day until Tuesday, May 12th, when we had to call an ambulance to come get her. This time, we requested she go to Munson TC. Upon arrival with chest pains, side abdominal pain, and shortness of breath, an X-ray showed pneumonia. Unfortunately, following testing, it was believed to be multifocal pneumonia in her lungs, completely filling her lungs, making it so she was unable to breathe without help. She was placed on BiPAP until Thursday, May 14th, when mom was placed on a ventilator. Her labs aren’t the greatest as she fights this horrible infection taking over her body! She is being treated by an infectious disease specialist in hopes of really finding the root of this infection and the correct antibiotics to treat it.
In the meantime, we are asking for any donations to assist with bills. Mom was still working part-time to provide for her and dad, and without her income, it will be very hard on dad. Any amount helps support them and especially dad while he has been by her side! An amazing husband dedicated to standing by her in this trying time, the very least we could do as their kids is ask for help!
We are so very blessed and thankful for all the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
