Update #3

Missy is now home! Yay! She is confined to the downstairs area, as she can’t maneuver stairs. But she is home and we are praying for a complete recovery! Please continue to send your love and prayers.

Update #2

Missy is getting around a bit better on her own now. Doctors are looking to discharge her today! She is still very sore and will not be able to put any weight on her right foot/ankle for a while. The great news is that she will soon be in her own home to continue her recovery! Please continue to show your support and keep her in your prayers.

Michelle “Missy” Elam was in a terrible car wreck on Saturday, January 3rd. She suffered three broken ribs, 2 broken vertebrae, a badly broken ankle, and a partially collapsed lung. She will need two surgeries so far and will be immobile for at least eight weeks. She will need help with bills and medical expenses while she is recovering. Thank you for your help and prayers. Any help is appreciated!

UPDATE:

Missy had her surgeries today, but, there was a complication. Do to how the airway is positioned for anesthesia during back surgery, her jaw was dislocated and will not go back/stay in place. She must wait for an oral surgeon to visit and figure out the plan for the next step. She is in pain, but, trying to stay strong! Please continue to lift her up in prayer.
