Mike Poulsen has spent his life building homes for our community and saving lives as a volunteer. Following a severe construction accident on February 5th, Mike is facing a long recovery period.

The Incident: February 5th

• Incident: A routine workday resulted in a severe accident where a framing nail punctured Mike's abdomen.

• Emergency Response: Mike was rushed immediately to the Emergency Room for trauma assessment.

• Surgical Intervention: He underwent life-saving surgery to remove the nail and assess internal damage.

• Current Status: Mike is currently resting at home but is sidelined from all physical labor for at least one month.

Financial Impact & Fund Utilization

As a construction professional, Mike’s livelihood is tied directly to his physical strength. Because he did not have health insurance at the time of the accident, the burden of his emergency care is substantial.

The funds raised through this campaign are intended to provide Mike with the necessary "breathing room" to focus on his recovery. Contributions will be utilized to address the astronomical medical bills resulting from his surgery and hospital stay. Our objective is to ensure that a professional setback does not turn into permanent financial ruin.
