I’m reaching out to support two people who mean so much to our small business family, Jowana and her husband, Mike.

Mike has recently been diagnosed with a serious form of cancer that requires specialized treatment out of town. His journey ahead includes multiple doctor visits, a very intensive surgery, and up to two weeks in the ICU, followed by radiation and ongoing care.

Because of the complexity of his condition, there is also a possibility of complications that could require rehabilitation after surgery.

As you can imagine, this has placed a huge emotional and financial burden on their family. Mike will be unable to work for 6–8 weeks, and Jowana will be by his side for several weeks during recovery.

While they do have insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are already adding up quickly—travel, medical expenses, and lost income are creating a situation that is simply overwhelming.

Jowana has been a dedicated, hardworking part of our team for years, and both she and Mike are the kind of people who would give the shirt off their back to help someone else.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
