Standing with Michael Through Recovery

Donation protected
As many of you know, Michael was involved in a very tragic shooting while on duty. He now faces a long road to recovery—one that has been both physically and emotionally overwhelming. The last thing Michael and his wife, Ally, should have to worry about during this difficult time is financial strain. (Please refer to the paragraphs at the bottom for additional information.)

On behalf of our family, I am humbly asking for any support you are able to give. No amount is too small, and every contribution will make a meaningful difference. Most importantly, we appreciate your continued prayers during challenging time.

We are grateful for the Tifton community, Tifton Police Department, as well as other communities and law enforcement agencies that have been exceptionally supportive.

Michael was in the hands of God yesterday, December 5th, 2025, a devastating day that he and our family will never forget. It might have Michael down temporarily, but Michael will overcome this and be stronger than ever!

Thank you all. ❤️

Please note that Workers’ Compensation does not fully cover the officer’s expenses which is why this GoFundMe has been established to assist his family.

***This part is not for the amazing supporters, this is intended to address any misconceptions or unwarranted negative commentary regarding the donations for the officers-

Many officers in the department have to work overtime, extra duty, special details, and/or part time jobs to supplement income in order to make a livable wage…especially when raising multiple children. Not only that, but the wife is only eligible for FMLA in these circumstances unless she has enough PTO stashed away to cover the time she would need by her spouses side during recovery. WC nor House Bill 105 does anything for that either. So this dual income family that also depended on extra income from extra work just went down to one bi-weekly salary. (Thank you to K. Spires for this insight) In addition, both Workmen’s Compensation and the House bill benefits must be applied for so an immediate turnaround should not be expected.

This is not an effort to make the officers wealthy—nor would it. it is simply meant to provide additional support to help supplement the loss of household income during their physical and emotional recovery.
