On December 21, 2025, Mia was admitted to Wesley Hospital in Wichita for treatment of severe epilepsy. Just a few days later, on December 24, she was airlifted to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City so she could receive a higher level of care.
On December 26, doctors placed Mia into a medically induced coma in hopes of stopping her seizures. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the seizures could not be controlled. While Mia is no longer in a coma, she remains on a ventilator, and multiple treatments have been tried without success.
At this time, doctors are still searching for an effective treatment. If no other options work, the next step would be a brain biopsy, followed by possible surgery if Mia is determined to be a good candidate. This is a long and uncertain process, with no clear timeline for when Mia might be able to come off the ventilator or return home.
This journey has been incredibly difficult for Mia and her family—emotionally, physically, and financially. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean so much and help support them during this challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, please consider keeping Mia in your prayers—that the doctors find the best possible treatment and that she can return home to her family. ❤️
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
Gracias por su amor, apoyo y oraciones.
