Meredith Bounds is a friend to all. Anyone who knows her knows her kindness, her warmth, and the way she shows up for others without hesitation. Now, Meredith is facing one of the toughest battles of her life and she needs our help.
On December 29, Meredith will undergo a major surgery as part of her cancer treatment. Her medical team has recommended a critical portion of the procedure that involves heated chemotherapy being delivered directly into her abdomen and then drained after a period of time. This treatment is not optional. It is an important part of giving her the best possible chance at recovery. Unfortunately, her insurance company has refused to cover this portion of the procedure.
In addition, the insurance company is only approving four nights in the hospital, despite her doctors clearly stating that she will need five to seven days of inpatient care to recover safely. This leaves Meredith and her husband, Brian, facing overwhelming out-of-pocket costs during an already unimaginable time.
Meredith and Brian have already incurred significant medical expenses throughout this journey, and the financial burden continues to grow. As they focus on Meredith’s health, healing, and strength, the stress of mounting bills is something they should not have to carry alone. They believe deeply in handling things quietly and with faith. Asking for help is not easy for them, but they are trusting that God will work through the kindness and generosity of others during this difficult time.
This GoFundMe is being set up to help ease that burden, whether it goes toward uncovered medical costs, extended hospital stays, or other expenses that come with long-term cancer treatment. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference.
If you are unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping Meredith, Brian, Caroline, and Turner in your prayers. Let’s come together as a community to support someone who has given so much love to others.
Thank you for loving Meredith the way she has always loved us.
