Hello, I'm Melissa Todaque. I'm 33 years old. I never thought I'd be writing something like this; it's very embarrassing, but God is giving me the will to be alive.
Last year, in April, I found out I had lumps in my breast. I was afraid to find out the truth, but like any other human, I had to get checked. No hospital helped me as much as the hospital I found. The reason why my cancer spread so fast.
They ran some tests and gave me the results in September, and they diagnosed me with Stage IV breast cancer, which became metastatic cancer.
The cancer nobody wants to have or go through. They gave me the news, and my partner and loved ones were devastated. They told me that my cancer has spread to my bones and I would have a long life treatment.
My chemos are very aggressive and very painful. As my days go by, I become very weak, which is why I cannot work or do anything for myself.
As you may know, with everything I'm going through, this changed my whole life, not only that but my life expenses, bills, and medical expenses as well. Along with every appointment I have, we have found ways to get through this, but as days go by, it gets harder as our bills stack up and any medications not covered. But I will not give up.
I am on cycle 6 of chemo, with more to go. As each day goes by, it does get harder, but I'm very grateful to be where I am.
This GoFundMe will help me a lot, while supporting my continued recovery and rebuilding. Any help or contributions will help cover everyday living needs, transportation, household expenses, and other costs that come with moving forward after chemotherapy.
Thank you all for your support, and I hope to celebrate any new news with everybody that helped me.
Thank you sincerely, Melissa
