Rallying Around Megan and Family: Help Ease the Burden of Their Cancer Journey and Upcoming Clinical Trials

Megan and I were introduced to each other in 2010, as we were both pregnant and looking to split a teaching position for the upcoming school year. We immediately clicked, taught together as "job share" partners for the next five years, and became close friends.

8 years ago, the Brown family faced the unimaginable when their son Hudson was diagnosed with cancer. Now a thriving 7th grader, he battled and won his fight against cancer. Unfortunately, Megan now has to fight a similar battle. The Brown family has given so much to the community and is always looking for ways to support others. Now, it's our turn to support them.

Megan's cancer journey began last July and continues to change throughout the process. Immunotherapy and chemotherapy didn't have the expected outcomes, so she will pursue a clinical trial in Maryland. This will require a great deal of travel away from home, along with all of the expenses that come with it. Because of the demanding treatment schedule, she has been unable to work this year.

We (her friends) would love to help ease the financial burden a bit for the family. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
