I was diagnosed with colon cancer earlier this year. I had a successful surgery that completely removed the mass. Many of you helped me out during that time and I am forever grateful.
However there is still cancer in my lymph nodes.
I am currently going through chemotherapy while trying to get a degree to become a medical assistant (and maybe go into radiography).
Due to the side affects of chemo, (not to mention that pesky ADHD) working part time while going to school is nearly impossible even if there were jobs out there that matched my current skills. I do my school work and am left with almost no energy.
I'm lucky enough to receive full medicaid for my treatment without disruption due to my status as a student. I also receive SNAP benefits since losing my job a year ago.
All that said, unfortunately in the end, my student aid is not enough money to pay my rent, utilities, car payments, car insurance, gas to get to my millions of appointments, etc.
I'm not asking for much, just a bit of extra money so I don't fall too behind on bills and don't have to feel the extra stress of figuring out how to pay for things I need.
Thank you for reading!
