Hello everyone. My name is Lindsey and I am raising money for my dear friend Sarah.

Last night, one of my dearest friends world was shaken when her daughter Maya, a bright, funny, and deeply loved 13-year-old, attempted to take her own life. Her mother went through every parents worst nightmare. Finding her daughter, getting her down and starting CPR and going from hospital to hospital (a total of 3 in one night). She is currently in the ICU at Seattle Children’s, fighting for her life, surrounded by doctors, machines, and the fierce love of her mom who has not left her side.

Right now, Sarah should only have one job: being there for her daughter. No parent should have to worry about finances, transportation, missed work, meals, or unexpected expenses while their child is fighting and critically ill.

This GoFundMe has been created to help relieve that burden so she can focus entirely on Maya—on holding her hand, advocating for her care, and being present during the hardest moments of her life.

All funds raised will go directly toward:
* Medical-related expenses not covered by insurance
* Transportation to and from the hospital
* Lost wages and basic living expenses
* Meals, lodging, and other unforeseen costs during this crisis

Pediatric mental health is often misunderstood and tragically overlooked. Children and teens can struggle deeply while still smiling, laughing, and showing up to school. Warning signs are not always obvious, and even the most attentive, loving parents can miss them. Mental health crises do not mean someone failed—it means a child was hurting silently. These tragedies can happen in any family.

Maya is not defined by this moment. She is bright, funny, and incredibly talented. She has a way of lighting up every room she walks into with her quirks, her humor, and her big heart. She is deeply loved by so many, and the world is better with her in it. We are believing with everything we have that she will feel that love and continue fighting.

If you are able to donate, share, or keep Maya and her family in your thoughts and prayers, it means more than words can express. Every act of kindness helps carry this family through an unimaginable time.

Thank you for standing with Sarah, her family and especially Maya.
