Hello everyone. My name is Jackie and I am starting this gofundme for my younger brother Matthew, or as some of you may know him as Matt. On Wednesday March 25th at approximately 3:45pm my brother was in a motorcycle accident. He was stuck by an suv that didn’t see him turning. Luckily, my brother was leaving work and his co-workers were behind him and saw the entire thing and were able to render aid until paramedics arrived on scene. He was taking to the hospital and has been in the ICU since. He sustained major injuries to his upper body including a skull fracture, broken nose, and cheek bones, broken shoulders, 4 broken ribs, broken hands, fingers, and wrist on both left and right. He also sustained injuries to left knee. He is completely reliant on myself and my mom for all his needs, including eating, scratching areas that itch, using the restroom, and anything that involves using your hands. He is not mobile and has been bed ridden since we arrived . Matt successfully made it through two surgeries so far to repair both arms, and his shoulder. He will require a step down rehab facility once his is able to leave the hospital but that’s nowhere in sight. This has been an extremely scary and emotional time for our family. As you can imagine the financial burden this has put on our family has been tremendous which is why I decided to make a go fund me to try and raise some money to help with all of the expenses. Anything that you are able to donate is great appreciated and helpful. If you are not able to donate, that is okay. Just say a prayer for my brother. He needs it right now.
