Marsy "Mouse" J. Salazar has always been the first to step up with courage and devotion to help family and friends. As hard as it is for her to accept, it is time for us to show her that she has incredible support too.

The last couple years have been challenging as she has battled diabetes. Marsy has been discreet about her fight but as time has gone on, things have gotten harder. On Christmas Day, Marsy was taken to the ER and is working hard to get well and home to her daughter. Unfortunately, the reality is that her life will need to change drastically if she wants to see sustainable wellness.

Marsy has worked at our local Albertsons/Safeway in the Butcher block for over 30 years and as much as she loves her job, she can no longer continue to work on her feet. She will currently be out of work for at least 6-8 weeks and will then have to find a job that allows her body to heal and avoid further injury. Having already exhausted her sick time, vacation and FMLA earlier this year, the financial burden is overwhelming.
