On his way to school on January 6, around 7:30 a.m., my son Marion was struck by a car in front of Johnson High School. The driver was turning into the school to drop off their own child, but after striking my son and knocking him to the ground, they decided to flee the scene. They didn’t stop to check on him or see if he was okay after seriously injuring him. They just kept going.
Marion is 14 years old and attends Myers Middle School. He loves school, video games, and basketball. He has the biggest heart and is always helping me, especially with the lawn. He is the youngest of my four children and has so much life ahead of him.
Marion is currently in the hospital with injuries to his leg, back, stomach, hands, and head. Watching your child go through something like this is something no parent is ever prepared for. The fear and uncertainty are overwhelming, which is why I created this fundraiser to help with Marion’s medical care so I can focus on being there for my son.
Any donation or share truly helps. All funds will go toward medical expenses and supporting Marion as he heals.
My son is a good kid. He did not deserve this. All I want is for him to heal and feel safe again.
Thank you for donating, for taking the time to read this, and for sharing. All help is appreciated, and we are truly grateful for the support shown to Marion.
