If you know Mandy, you know one thing for certain: she shows up.
She shows up for her kids, her family, her bowling league, her school, and her community. She’s the person behind the scenes making sure things happen - running concession stands for Whiteland Little League, serving on the school board, supporting youth sports and bowling, helping with food drives, school events, and local parades. Mandy has always been someone who gives her time, energy, and heart to others without expecting anything in return.
Now, she needs our help.
Over the past year, Mandy has been dealing with increasingly severe and unexplained symptoms. After months of testing, uncertainty, stress, and mounting medical expenses, she was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The path to that diagnosis was long and exhausting, both physically and emotionally, and the financial impact has been significant.
As her health has changed, Mandy has had to step back from some of the roles she loved, including serving as President of her bowling league, and has had to quit bowling. She recently started a new job with a local school system, but managing work alongside medical appointments, illness, and family responsibilities has been an ongoing challenge.
Billy, her husband, is a truck driver and spends time away from home to support the family. Together, they are doing their best to keep everything moving forward for their three children while navigating a situation they never expected.
Adding to the strain, one of the family’s two vehicles is currently out of commission due to a major repair needed to the rear end. Being down to a single vehicle has created additional stress during an already difficult time.
In February, Mandy has an important upcoming appointment with an MS specialist who focuses on understanding the origins of the disease and identifying the most effective treatment approach. This appointment alone costs $2,000, requires time away from work, and may include travel-related expenses. It is a critical step in determining the best path forward for her care.
One moment that truly captured the weight of this journey came when one of Mandy’s children wrote a letter to Santa with only one wish: not for toys or gifts, but for their mom’s health to return. They simply wanted their mom back - the version of her they remember before illness and uncertainty took over. It’s a reminder that this isn’t just about medical bills; it’s about a family trying to hold onto normalcy and hope.
This fundraiser is intended to help:
Cover the cost of Mandy’s upcoming MS specialist appointment
Assist with ongoing medical expenses
Help repair the family’s vehicle
Provide a modest financial cushion so the family can focus on health and healing
Our goal is $10,000, but even $5,000 would make a meaningful difference. Every contribution, large or small, helps ease the burden.
If you’ve ever bowled with Mandy, worked alongside her, volunteered with her, or simply benefited from her dedication to the community, this is an opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to others.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Your support in any form truly matters.
