I was fine...and then, I was not fine.

My name is Luz "Lucy" Contreras. I developed & was hospitalized with transverse myelitis, with sudden onset numbness & paralysis of lower extremities while visiting family back home. Not exactly a desired storyline for the holidays and start of a new year.

This GoFundMe will be used towards expenses for medical (bills, care, assistive tools) and personal needs.

I may be having more PLEX, IVIG and Physical Therapy treatments in the longterm care, along with longterm maintenance medicines. Plus walkers, canes, home aide visits, home tools - shower seat/bench, toilet riser, new bed.
