Lourdes is a dear friend to me and many others who recently experienced a life-changing accident while celebrating her 50th birthday in Jamaica. During her trip, she fainted unexpectedly, falling face-first onto concrete. The impact caused her to crack her head, suffer a seizure, and break her jaw. The severity of her injuries meant she needed immediate emergency care in a foreign country, where she wasn’t sure if she was even receiving the proper treatment. This terrifying ordeal has left Lourdes with significant medical debt and a long road to recovery ahead.

Now back home, Lourdes is facing overwhelming bills from her treatment in Jamaica, as well as the costs of ongoing care and daily living expenses. Because of her injuries, she’s unable to return to work until she’s fully healed, adding even more stress to an already difficult situation.
