Help Linda Tramontano Receive the Care and Comfort She Deserves

Our beloved Linda is facing the toughest battle of her life.

In 2025, after many months of doctor visits…Linda was diagnosed with Bulbar Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a progressive and devastating neurological disease that affects the muscles responsible for speaking, swallowing, breathing, and eventually mobility. Since her diagnosis, she has shown incredible courage and strength in the face of challenges that most of us cannot imagine.

Many families throughout our community may know Linda from her many years at West Boca Karate Center, where she dedicated herself to serving students and families with kindness, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to making others feel welcome. She has always had a special gift for bringing joy to those around her. Every holiday season, Linda would go above and beyond decorating for Christmas, transforming the karate center into a festive and magical place for children and their families. Seeing the smiles on their faces brought her immense happiness, and creating those memories was one of her greatest joys.

Over the past two years, ALS has gradually taken away many of the things Linda once did with ease. She has lost the ability to speak normally, struggles to swallow food and liquids, and now faces increasing difficulty with breathing and daily activities. Despite these hardships, Linda continues to demonstrate remarkable courage and strength.

As her condition progresses, the financial burden on Linda and her family continues to grow. Medical equipment, respiratory support, specialized care, home modifications, transportation, nutritional needs, and other ALS-related expenses have created significant challenges. Many of these costs are not fully covered by insurance and continue to increase as her care needs become more extensive.

We are asking friends, family, former students, and members of the community to help ease this burden so that Linda can focus on what matters most—her comfort, dignity, and time with the people she loves.
