Standing With Laura: Help Support Her Cancer Journey
Laura Berry has been a cherished part of our office family for years. As a licensed massage therapist, she has devoted her career to helping others heal — offering comfort, relief, and compassion to so many in our community. If you have ever been cared for by Laura, you know her heart for people is genuine and her spirit is steady and kind.
Recently, after experiencing persistent stomach pain, Laura received an unexpected and life-altering diagnosis: ovarian cancer.
As she steps into this next season, she does so with courage and faith — trusting God to walk with her through every appointment, every procedure, and every step of healing.
In the coming weeks, Laura will undergo invasive surgery followed by chemotherapy. At minimum, she will be unable to work for four months while she recovers — and possibly longer.
At the time her medical journey began, Laura did not have insurance coverage in place and has already incurred over $20,000 in out-of-pocket medical expenses related to testing, diagnostics, and early treatment. She has since secured insurance, but treatment is ongoing and the financial strain continues to grow.
In addition to mounting medical bills, Laura now faces the loss of income during recovery, essential living expenses, and a lengthy Social Security approval process that can take up to a year.
Our goal of $50,000 is to help ease this burden — providing financial stability so Laura can focus fully on healing, resting, and trusting the Lord through this difficult chapter.
