Just days after LaToya Benton, co-founder of Life After the Impact, filed a historic petition with the Supreme Court in the ongoing fight for justice for her son Xzavier Hill, she was hit with another battle.

She spent the entire weekend in and out of the ER with increasingly debilitating neck and back pain. The doctor concluded that she has a left subarticular disc protrusion at C6-C7, which is severely narrowing the spaces where her nerves exit on the left side and mildly pressing on her spinal cord.

She will now be having emergency surgery tomorrow, October 1st, and will be unable to work for at least 6-8 weeks. She and her husband Corey also have two beloved dogs that will need more assistance while he is working and she is rehabbing. So there are additional expenses there.

Of all people, we KNOW LaToya is a fighter and will get through this stronger than ever. She's been fighting for us and for her son. Now is our time to show up for her with whatever we can offer. Every donation counts.
