On March 7, Kylie and Richard Miller’s lives changed forever in a tragic car accident on their way home in Durham, California. Richard lost his life in the accident, and Kylie survived but suffered devastating injuries, including a broken pelvis, broken femur, hip and knee injuries, fractured ribs, a blood clot, pneumonia, and multiple surgeries. In a single moment, Kylie lost her husband of 31 years and her health and independence at the same time. She now faces a long and painful road of recovery, additional surgery, and rehabilitation while also grieving the loss of her husband and best friend. This has been an incredibly difficult time emotionally, physically, and financially for the Miller family, and the road ahead will not be easy.
