Our neighbor, fest partner, mother of Jesse and greatest inspiration needs help with some expenses to get her teeth fixed. If you know Krystyna Haberman you know she helps everyone: her pets, her friends, her neighbors, every band and punk that comes through town, all the folks she cleans for and takes care of. We are stepping forward to ask for help for her because she won't ask for herself. She has been running herself ragged trying to raise the money for the oral surgeries she needs and it's hard to watch because she already works so hard.

A little back story about how we got here: Krystyna and her friends were hit by a truck in CA in 2005. Her face was directly hit by the truck and it damaged her teeth and the bone structure around her jaw. The truck fled the scene and the driver was eventually apprehended but was released on probation. He was later jailed for other violent crimes. Victims of Violent crimes helped her at the time but only covered the immediate emergency visit and she was told at the time that any additional dental work she needed had to be paid for out of pocket. At the time she had severe PTSD from the incident as well as major physical bodily injuries which made it difficult for her to work for several months after the accident.

That was 21 years ago. Since then she has had to get other dental work and her teeth and bones have been causing her pain and infections. For the last few years she has been getting intensive periodontal treatments to try to save her teeth but they are currently loose and her periodontist advised that if she doesn't get oral implants that she will lose her teeth. The cost to get these implants in the USA would be approximately $70,000 so she is working with a friend from Mexico to get her surgery there.

The cost for her oral implants is $15,000. This does not include her recovery expenses which will be substantial. What we are asking for is $15,000 for her surgery plus $5,000 to make sure she is comfortable during her recovery and isn't forced to go back to work too soon which would compromise her healing process.
