Hi, I’m Kourtney. I’m 34 years old, married to my best friend for 12 years and blessed beyond measure to be the mom of 5 incredible children, including a set of twins who keep my world busy, loud, and full of love.. I live in Florida, where one of my greatest joys is coaching baton. My students aren’t just kids I teach… they are like my own. I’ve watched them grow and they fill my life with so much purpose.

I’m currently in the process of getting a kidney transplant. While I’m incredibly grateful to have insurance, I’ve learned that there are many expenses it doesn’t cover. I’ve been advised to raise funds to help with the costs that will come along with this surgery and recovery.

These expenses include:

• Medications that I’ll need for life after the transplant

• Hospital stays and many doctor appointments

• My caregiver during my recovery

• Living expenses while my husband and I won’t be able to work

• Travel costs to and from Jacksonville several times a week for follow-up appointments

• Possible temporary housing closer to the hospital after surgery

I am feeling very hopeful that the person that is being worked up will be my match. We should know soon! I would also like to help that person with whatever I am allowed to do for their recovery process. If this person doesn't end up being a match, I know I will find the one!
