This go fund me is for our sister Klarissa. On Sunday Dec 28th she started to have symptoms of blurred vision and headaches. Monday she saw her primary care physician, they thought these symptoms may have been caused by high blood pressure and prescribed her blood pressure medication. These symptoms continued. Family encouraged her to get a second opinion. Tuesday she arrived at Wesley medical center ER where they performed a CT scan and MRI. They found that she had an AVM (brain bleed). Late Tues, Early Wednesday morning she was air lifted to KU medical Center in Kansas City to the neurology ICU where she could be properly cared for.

Despite this being the first time ever admitted, the sudden travel to KU medical, being scared of the unknown and having to spend her New Years Eve in this unforseen situation, Klarissa was extremely strong and positive!

On Wednesday Dec 31st she received another CT scan and MRI.

A Cerebral Angiogram was performed to go in and take pictures and videos of her brain to determine course of action moving forward.

Klarissa was Nervous. As a healthy woman never having to experiencing any type of medical procedure before. She remained optimistic and strong.

Results from the procedure determined the best course of action would be to have a surgery to remove area where the bleed is. Before brain surgery, a similar procedure will be done to go in and use medical glue to fill the blood vessel where bleed is to reduce chances of bleeding out (major loss of blood) during the surgery.

After surgery she will have restrictions and will need to be off of work for a period of time to heal.

Everything donated will help her pay medical expenses and cost of living during her time off work for her recovery!!
