An Update on Kim’s Journey — With Very Heavy Hearts
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that Kim lost her battle last night.
After months of fighting with incredible strength and courage, Kim is finally at peace. Our hearts are shattered, but we are comforted knowing how deeply she was loved and how many lives she touched throughout her journey.
Kim was so much more than a wife, mother, grandmother, and paraprofessional — she was an amazing friend, and a source of love, kindness, strength, and support to so many people. After losing her beautiful dauhters Kayleigh and Kelsey, she dedicated her time caring for her grandchildren and others who were in need. Her impact will continue to be felt by her family, friends, students, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
David, Jonah, Shayleigh, and Eli are now facing an unimaginable loss. After standing beside Kim through months of uncertainty, medical challenges, and countless difficult days, they are now navigating grief while also facing the financial realities that come with such a long and overwhelming medical journey.
We are continuing this fundraiser to help support David and the family with medical expenses, final arrangements, ongoing household needs, and the many unexpected costs that come during this incredibly difficult time. This support will allow David to focus on grieving, caring for his family, and honoring Kim’s memory.
