This fundraiser is for Kenny McGhee, a devoted husband and lifelong provider. Kenny and his wife have been married for nearly 21 years, and throughout that time he has worked hard to support and care for his family. He is a loving husband, father, step-father, son, brother, and a proud Papi.

What began as hip pain and a planned, routine hip replacement quickly turned into a life-changing diagnosis. After further imaging, Kenny was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bone cancer. At this time, doctors have not yet identified the primary site of the cancer, and Kenny has been undergoing extensive testing. He has been referred to multiple specialists, including UAB Hospital Oncology, as doctors work to determine the best course of treatment.

Since November, Kenny has been unable to work. He is currently unable to walk on his own and is experiencing significant pain. His wife, who is a nurse, has been caring for him at home while managing this unexpected and overwhelming situation.

This diagnosis has been devastating for Kenny and his family—emotionally, physically, and financially. Kenny will not be able to return to work anytime soon, if at all, and they are facing mounting medical and living expenses.
