My name is Ken koby aka: “Chopper Man”
I drag race motorcycles and have been given that nickname by CycleDrag.com and have been blessed to be able to travel and compete and win against some of the best racers in the country. God is a major influence in my everyday life and I give him all the credit in making me the person I have become.
After falling and breaking and fracturing ribs on several occasions throughout the past year and a half and being in severe pain and not being able to heal I was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with Multiple Myeloma which is a blood cancer, that my blood cells and platelets attack and eat my bones which explains the lack of healing and severe rib pain.
I have been doing everything possible to continue working through this process until 3 weeks ago I slipped and fell off my semi truck trailer and fractured my left hip which instantly has sidelined me from being able to work and with starting chemotherapy in the next few weeks my finances has come to a screeching halt. Thank god for basic health coverage because just in the past 6 weeks my hospital bills are about $80,000. Dollars and the real treatments haven’t begun yet. After chemotherapy they are saying I will go through stem cell transplant therapy and most likely a Bone Marrow Transplant and then a lifetime of monitoring my blood cell levels ect…
I have a family to support being blessed with 2 older adult daughters and also a 14, year old son and a soon to be 12 year old daughter. With bills pilling up daily I’m scared and for the first time I need to ask for financial help and support. Hopefully the caring, loving and understanding people of our amazing world can help me during this challenging time of my life.
Thank you, and God Bless! Ken koby
