There are moments in life that change your family forever. We never thought ours would come so soon.

My baby sister, Kelsy, is only 31 years old.

She isn’t just a patient in a hospital room. She is a beautiful daughter, an incredible mother, a loving girlfriend, a wonderful cousin, an amazing and loyal sister, and a dedicated dental assistant who has spent her life helping others smile. She has a heart that loves deeply, a sense of humor loved by all, and a laugh and smile that can brighten even the darkest days.

Today, she is fighting the hardest battle of her life.

For the past two weeks, Kelsy has been hospitalized with end-stage liver failure. Since the day she was admitted, our mom and dad have barely left her bedside. They have spent every day and every night holding her hand, talking to her, praying over her, comforting her, and making sure she never has to face a single moment without knowing how deeply she is loved.

Watching your child suffer is a pain no parent should ever have to endure. Watching your little sister fight for her life is a heartbreak I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Every day brings uncertainty, and every moment together has become priceless.

Right now, my parents are trying to focus on the only thing that matters—being with their daughter, loving her, and surrounding her with peace, comfort, and family. Because of that, my mom has already missed two weeks of work, and the financial burden is beginning to grow while they continue to remain by Kelsy’s side.

Asking for help is never easy, but today we are asking with humble hearts. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial strain of lost wages, travel, meals, parking, and the countless unexpected expenses that come with living at the hospital. Your generosity will allow my parents to stay exactly where they need to be—with their baby girl.
