Hi, I’m Kelsey. I never, ever imagined I’d be writing something like this, but here we are.

Two days before Christmas I was diagnosed with stage III triple-negative breast cancer and am beginning an intensive treatment plan that includes chemotherapy and immunotherapy. While I’m incredibly grateful for my medical team and the path forward, treatment brings significant and unexpected expenses — from medical costs and medications to reduced ability to work and everyday living expenses.

I’ve always been someone who works hard and supports myself, and asking for help does not come easily to me. But right now, allowing support means I can focus my energy where it matters most: getting through treatment and healing.
