In October, life changed overnight for Katie Larson and her family. What began as unexpected news quickly turned into a whirlwind of doctor visits, multiple surgeries, traditional treatment plans, and even traveling to Denver for a trial treatment. Now, Katie is continuing her fight closer to home in Grand Junction — and the road ahead is still long.

Through every appointment, procedure, and setback, Katie has shown incredible strength. But right now, her focus needs to be on healing and spending precious time with her husband, Joe Padon, and their sweet daughter, Nora.

Both Katie and Joe have exhausted their PTO and are now facing significant time away from work to attend treatments, manage recovery, and care for their family. The emotional toll is heavy enough — the financial burden should not be something they have to carry alone.
