I, Lori, am posting as the mother of the recipient of this GoFundMe account, for my daughter Katelin. We never imagined being in this situation to ask for help. Please help us, help Katelin.

Katelin was in a major car accident on Thursday, December 31st, early evening of New Year’s Eve. Her injuries were extensive to her right side. She was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital in Clinton, Iowa.

After being examined, Katelin was transported by a second ambulance an hour away to a hospital in Davenport, Iowa. She was rushed into surgery for an open lateral dislocation of the right subtalar joint (compound fracture). Katelin has a Delta Frame for approximately 2 weeks. As long as everything looks as though it’s healing, Katelin will need a second surgery to remove the Delta Frame, then be placed in a cast for another 6 weeks non-weight bearing. Once the cast is removed, she will then need Physical Therapy. Katelin has a very long road to recovery; per the Orthopedic Surgeon, about 6 months.

During this time, Katelin will also be out of work. Katelin soon will find herself facing Mountains of Medical debt.
