My name is Kat, and I'm 28. I'm currently suffering from a combination of neurological conditions that has left me disabled and unable to work for over a year now. In addition to leaving me in a dire financial situation that may lead to me losing my home, my health has left me in a state where performing basic functions can be incredibly difficult. Things I once took for granted like cooking, performing household tasks, and even things like standing and my vision, have been suddenly taken away, leaving me in a vulnerable position.

I am in the process of applying for disability, but that is a long, arduous, and, ironically, expensive process. I am thankful that my process has only been a little more than a year long and relatively painless, and to my lawyer for helping me navigate that process.

I don't expect that one GoFundMe will save my home from foreclosure, but it will help keep me afloat and provide me a stable base for my next stage in life. It will help me pay for utilities, pay for my prescribed physical therapy and rehabilitation, feed myself, and buy accessibility tools that will help increase my quality of life.
