My name is Karyn and I am unemployed again, for the 2nd time in 11 months. During my last layoff, I had to surrender my car. Bills went unpaid and my children went without multiple things. I was very hesitant about posting this, but I am at a loss. I have applied for so many jobs, and even had 2 interviews on St. Patrick’s Day (which I thought for sure something would come of those); unfortunately, no. Nothing. I have excellent references, my job history is very stable and solid.
I have had 2 stomach ulcers since October and each required a 3-day hospital stay and 2 blood transfusions each time. My medical bills are insanely high, and I have Dr. appointments coming up that I now cannot even afford. I just don’t understand why this has to happen. Again. I am a hard worker and enjoyed my position. As you know, it’s the “lack of need from the client” in my experiences. My stomach dropped when I saw the call on my calendar and then 5 minutes into the call, HR hops on. No warning, nothing. I was given a 3-week notice.
I’ve been trying so, so hard just like I did before, but of course, I have another car payment now because things were going fine. I cannot lose my car or my home for that matter. With having 2 kids still at home, it is extremely hard. I know there are a lot of people going through the same thing. I truly do. I am not one to ask for help, but I have no other choice. If you can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. I have no other interviews lined up and have applied to so many jobs that I’ve lost count. I only hope that no one will judge. I am only doing what I know I have to do to survive. If you do help, please know that you are very appreciated. If you cannot, but can share this, that would be wonderful as well.
