Thank you for being here. It means the world to me! My name is Kara Callan, and I am a wife and mother to 3 beautiful children. Phoebe, my ray of sunshine; Summer, my strong & feisty girl; and Golden, my sweet & calm son. Both Summer & Golden were born with an extremely rare genetic and terminal disease, and in 2023, our spunky 8-year-old girl Summer returned back to Jesus. Then, in less than a year, our boy Golden surprised us and was born in 2024, where we were able to connect the dots. Now it's 2026, and I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. There is no doubt in my mind that it is from being a 24/7 caregiver over the past 11 years and all the grief and trauma that has come with that. But even still, I love my life! And I love my children. This fundraiser is to help me and my family through additional costs as I undergo cancer treatments. My husband Todd will be taking a lot of time off work to help me and take care of our medically complex special needs son, so we could use all the help we can get.
