Kaitlyn’s cancer is back, and it’s aggressive. We are running out of treatment options, which is something no parent is ever prepared to say. Our next step is reaching out to other hospitals across the country in hopes that someone, somewhere, may have another option to help save her life. We have already contacted Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and are waiting to hear back, but time is not on our side.

We are doing everything in our power to fight for her. This GoFundMe is to help cover the cost of traveling to other states for second and third opinions, medical care, and related expenses. I am currently on a leave of absence from work so I can be with Kaitlyn, but our regular bills and living expenses continue.

More than anything, Kaitlyn wants to experience life while she is still able—to make memories, to feel joy, and to simply be a kid as much as possible through all of this. Our family is heartbroken and terrified of losing our baby girl, but we are holding onto hope and fighting with everything we have.
