My name is Nisa, and I am Ka'inoa's older sister. On Saturday, December 6th, 2025, we got a phone call that nobody could have prepared us for. My brother went hunting like he always does, and along his trip, he got severely ill. Luckily, he had some of his friends close by who were able to get a call out through their satellite phone and get some help. He ultimately had to be airlifted out of the mountain due to his condition, which took hours to get him out. In those few hours, we were left not knowing anything about his condition or where they would be taking him. He was transported via Air 1 to KVMH emergency department, where they were able to run tests and found out he had some bleeding in his brain. The staff there made the decision to send him to Queens Medical Center on Oahu, where they could run further tests and find out what is going on.

I am raising funds to help with travel expenses, current and future medical bills, as well as lost wages. Until they can figure out what is causing all this, he will more than likely not be able to work.

If you know Ka'inoa, you know the kind of person he is. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation if you needed it.
