I’m writing this with hope and love for my lifelong friend, Julia.
Julia is the kind of person who never stops giving. She is a devoted single mom to her beautiful daughter, Sophia, and everything she does is for her. She is self-employed, hardworking, and fiercely determined to provide a stable, loving life for her child—even when it means putting her own needs last.
But now, Julia can’t push through anymore.
Julia, like many others, didn’t have health insurance for quit some time. She started noticing a mass in her abdomen that has grown tremendously. She was finally able to get it checked out by medical professionals and is now facing a serious surgery that she desperately needs. The medical future is uncertain, and the road ahead is scary. What we do know is that she will need to be hospitalized and will be unable to work during her recovery. For someone who is self-employed, this means NO INCOME at all—while the bills, responsibilities, and needs of daily life continue without pause.
The thought of being unable to provide for Sophia while trying to heal has been incredibly overwhelming for Julia. Instead of being able to focus on her health and recovery, she is burdened with fear—fear of falling behind, fear of losing stability, and fear of how this will affect her daughter.
This fundraiser exists so Julia doesn’t have to carry this weight alone.
The funds raised will help cover medical and recovery expenses, keep a roof over their heads, pay monthly bills, and provide basic necessities for Julia and Sophia while she is unable to work. Most importantly, it will give Julia the peace of mind to focus on healing and being present for her daughter during a frightening and vulnerable time.
If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, you are giving more than financial support—you are giving relief, hope, and the reminder that Julia and Sophia are not alone. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Every share, prayer, and kind thought truly matters.
Thank you for opening your heart to Julia and Sophia. Your kindness means everything.
