Support Juli’s Fight Against Rare Cancer in the Tear Duct

Story:

Hi everyone,

We are asking for support for Juli who is currently facing a difficult and unexpected battle with cancer.

Juli has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in the tear duct of her eye. This aggressive cancer began in the tear duct, grew into nearby sinus and eye muscles requiring urgent and specialized treatment.

Her journey has already been overwhelming. Around Christmas, Juli went to UC Davis for further evaluation. After seeing an ENT specialist and undergoing a biopsy, the results confirmed cancer. Since then, things have moved quickly:

   •   Surgery took place on March 25, 2026

   •   A CT scan followed on April 1, 2026

   •   She is now preparing for radiation treatment, which will likely take 6–6½ weeks, pending final pathology results

Juli has been referred to California Protons in San Diego, where she will receive highly specialized radiation therapy. This treatment requires at least 6 weeks, including a planning visit at the end of April where she will have a CT and MRI will determine the focal point plus be fitted for a custom mask for these treatments.

How Funds Will Help:

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help cover the many expenses that come with this fight, including:

   •   Travel costs (flights, gas, transportation/Ubers)

   •   Temporary lodging in San Diego

   •   Accumulating co-pay Medical bills

   •   Aftercare and over-the-counter medications

If you know Juli, you already know how strong she is. She’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone, no questions asked. The one who listens without judgment, who lifts people up when they’re at their lowest, who gives so much of herself without ever expecting anything in return.

Now she’s facing one of the toughest battles of her life, and if there’s anyone who can meet it with courage and resilience, it’s her. Juli is truly one of the strongest, most compassionate, and inspiring people I’ve ever known.

But even the strongest people need support.

She has spent so much time being there for all of us—now it’s our turn to be there for her. Whether it’s through donating, sharing this fundraiser, kind words, prayers, love, sharing photo’s of fond memories with Juli, or simply showing up, let’s remind her that she’s not alone in this fight.
