Supporting Jonatas During His Recovery
Jonatas Novaes was recently diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare neurological condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the peripheral nerves, causing muscle weakness and fatigue. He has been hospitalized for the past four days and is expected to return home tomorrow.
As Jonatas begins this recovery journey, he continues to experience significant weakness and will need time, rest, and support to regain his strength. While we are hopeful for a smooth and quick recovery, his condition requires close monitoring. Jonatas will need ongoing follow-up with neurology and has been advised to return to the emergency room immediately if his symptoms do not improve or if they worsen.
During this time, he is unable to work and is facing several unexpected expenses related to his care. Any financial support will help cover basic living expenses while he is not working, medications and medical costs not fully covered by insurance, possible home nursing or caregiving assistance, and travel costs associated with flying a family member to help care for him during his recovery.
If you would like to drop off meals or send meals to his home, please contact Jonatas directly to coordinate.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and continued prayers as Jonatas focuses on healing and recovery.
