My name is Dr. Johnnie LaDue and, until recently, I was an assistant professor and information media librarian at the University of Tennessee at Martin. According to the university, "the basis for termination is [my] intentional and repeated failure to follow the lawful directives of University officials in accordance with the Riley Gaines Women's Safety and Protection Act."

I was fired for using the women's restroom after I refused to stop using the same restroom I use everywhere else.

Now I am in the process of uprooting my life after four years of teaching at UTM with a spotless record. I am asking for help in funding relocation to a safer state and covering living expenses for me and my crew as I look for new employment.
