Hello, my name is John Miller. I am a Veteran of the US Marine Corps. I currently live in White River, South Dakota. I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer a little over 2 years ago, in 2023. In the fall of 2023, I received Brachytherapy Treatment at Monument Health in Rapid City, SD. In July 2025, I had a biopsy done at the VA Hospital in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Results showed that I had an elevated PSA level. After waiting some 4 months, it was determined by my doctor to go through a more aggressive radiation treatment at the Monument Hospital Cancer Care Center, Rapid City, South Dakota. I will be going through 1 more treatment on Tuesday, January 27 at 5:30am prep time and 7:00am procedure time. I will need to drive to Rapid City on Monday, January 26th, 2026. The mileage is 330 miles round trip for this trip. I will need to rent a room at one of the many local motels on the night of the 26th, 2026. I will require meal money for my wife and myself on Monday and Tuesday. This is for my radiation treatment procedure on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 again Prep at 5:30 am.
