This fundraiser is to help my husband, Jim Carpenter.
Jim is a 67-year-old full-time hurricane shutter repairman. He loves God, and actively serves at our church. He loves his family, is a loyal friend, a proud Army veteran, and a good man.
Due to military service and over 40 years in construction, Jim is in need of having both knees replaced. The first surgery is scheduled for the end of January, with the other to follow in 3 months. The damage is severe, bone-on-bone, affecting his ankles, legs, and hips as well as his knees. He has constant pain and struggles walking, but if we can’t get the surgery done, it will cause him further mobility issues and even more pain down the road.
We had saved money to use while Jim was out of work after surgery, but Jim’s work truck broke down suddenly and needed immediate repair. It is used to haul his large work trailer every day, so the repairs were a necessity. But they were also costly, eating up the money we had saved.
We’re asking for help with doctor and hospital bills, as well as living expenses while he’s out of work. Whatever help you can give is most appreciated, and we are very thankful for it! I also ask that if you're a praying person, please add Jim to your prayer list.
Thank you very much for your help, and God bless.
