Hi everyone,
I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of one of the strongest, most hardworking families I know. They are the kind of people who show up for everyone else, who pour everything they have into their family, their business, and their community and right now, they need us.
This year has been nothing short of overwhelming for them.
In January, Jess underwent an unexpected emergency surgery.
In February, things took a terrifying turn when Jess's water broke far too early, leading to a prolonged two-week hospitalization filled with uncertainty and fear.
In March, Mike & Jess welcomed their precious baby boy into the world prematurely. What followed was three long weeks living in the hospital, relying on the NICU team to help their little fighter grow stronger each day.
They finally brought their baby home and began adjusting to life as a family, soaking in those newborn moments they had fought so hard for.
But just five weeks later, everything changed again.
Jess has now developed a severe, life-threatening medical condition. What started as unexplained reactions has escalated into multiple episodes of anaphylaxis, where her airway has closed and required emergency intervention. This has happened more than once and without answers, it continues to be a very real and ongoing threat.
She is now being transferred to a larger hospital over two hours away where specialists can try to determine what is causing these reactions and how to stop them.
As you can imagine, this has placed an enormous emotional, physical, and financial strain on their family.
They are self-employed, which means:
• When they can’t work, income stops
• Medical bills are quickly piling up
• Travel, lodging, and time away from home are constant challenges
• They are navigating all of this while caring for a newborn who just spent weeks in the NICU
And perhaps the hardest part—Mom is being separated from her baby during a time when they should be together.
I can tell you firsthand: this family does not ask for help. Ever.
But right now, they truly need the support of their community.
If you are able to give—no matter how small—it will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses
• Travel and lodging for ongoing hospital care
• Lost income during this crisis
• Supporting their newborn during this incredibly difficult time
If you’re not in a place to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
For those who prefer to give directly, you can also send support via:

Most importantly, please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. They are facing the unknown right now, and they need strength, answers, and healing.
Thank you for showing up for them the way they have always shown up for others.
