As many of you know, Jerry was involved in a very tragic shooting while on duty. He now faces a long road to recovery—one that has been both physically and emotionally overwhelming. The last thing Jerry and his wife, Kathryn, should have to worry about during this difficult time is financial strain. While short-term or long-term disability may become options, they will not come close to covering his previous income.

“Today doesn’t feel real… this is the kind of thing you see in movies or hear about happening to someone else’s family. Our family is devastated, scared, and in complete shock.

But even in the middle of all this, the love, kindness, and unity shown to my brother, his wife, and our entire family has been nothing short of overwhelming. The support from Tifton PD, Tift County, GBI, GSP, Albany PD, BHSO and every agency and person who helped escort us to Grady was truly heaven-sent. We are so grateful—there just aren’t enough words right now.

Please keep my brother and our family lifted in your prayers. He has a long road ahead, and we’re holding on to every prayer, every bit of love, and every act of kindness.”
