My daughter, Jennifer Thornburg, was diagnosed in October with stage 4 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer that has spread to her liver. She is courageously battling this disease while undergoing chemotherapy, infusions, frequent doctor visits, procedures, and costly medical supplies. We have full trust in the Lord that Jenn will be victorious, and we want her to be able to focus fully on her treatment and healing.

In addition to the enormous costs already incurred, Jenn recently had surgery to place a PleurX drain because fluid was rapidly building up in her abdomen—about 5–6 liters each week. After the procedure, we learned that the drainage kits alone cost nearly $200 every two weeks, even after insurance.

Jennifer is a loving mother to Taylor, Kaitlyn, and Kyle, a daughter who makes me incredibly proud, and a devoted partner. Her strength, grace, and courage inspire all of us. She never asks, “Why me?”—she simply keeps fighting for herself, her family, and everyone who loves her.
